2012-2013 Goals

We are committed to protecting the public health and safety. To do this TSPE will:

• act as legislative "watchdogs" and give engineering advice on legislation that could affect health and safety

• advocate licensure to ensure the competent and ethical practice of engineering within Tennessee and

• encourage our membership to be committed to growing the organization

We believe in and value the contributions TSPE has made to the engineering profession and will continue to add in the future.

• We will increase our membership by actively recruiting the engineers who pass the PE Exam.

• We will help ensure our future growth by actively recruiting engineering students in their junior and senior years of college.

• We will complete the year with a cash surplus to insure the ability to provide member services in 2010 and beyond.

• We will work with students and support programs aimed at science, math, and engineering, such as Engineers Week, Lego League, MATHCOUNTS, and the Tennessee Engineering Foundation.
