Education - PE Review

Civil PE Exam Review Course

Begins Monday, February 5

If you know someone who is taking the exam on April 13, 2017, please pass this information along. If you would like to sit in on some of the sessions as a refresher for PDHs, you may register for a single session (or more) also.

The PE Civil exam review course will be held at the Lipscomb University Fields Engineering Center and will be available via a videoconferencing link.

As we have in the past, the course will be taught by Professional Engineers and based on the Civil Engineering Reference Manual (Lindeburg 15th edition). It will focus on the “breadth” (morning) portion of the exam and will include the general topics covered during the morning part of the exam. Seismic and land surveying will not be covered, as they are not covered on the morning exam. Sessions include Water Resources, Geotechnical, Structural, Construction and Transportation.

The registration form will be posted on http://branches.asce.org/nashville/events, www.tnspe.org and (or www.acectn.org) soon. The cost will be $350 per person for members and $550 for non-members and will include TSPE membership free for 6 months.

Electrical and Mechanical Online PE Review

TSPE is partnering with the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MnSPE) to offer PE exam prep courses to help you prepare for the April 2018 PE exam. Choose from civil (construction, geotech, structural, transportation or water resources/environmental), electrical power or mechanical (HVAC, machine design or thermal & fluids systems). Courses meet mid February through early April. Attend via live webinar from your location - students can be anywhere (not just MN). Courses are relevant for students and PE exams throughout the country and use books and other course materials published by PPI, provider of the popular Lindeburg books. A free retake is GUARANTEED if you take this course but do not pass the April 2018 PE exam.

Registration deadlines vary but are in early February. Learn more or register at www.mnspe.org/?page=PE_FE_Exam_Courses.
