Tennessee Engineering Foundation
Scholarship

The
Tennessee Engineering Foundation (TEF) administers
scholarships that are awarded to rising junior or senior
engineering students enrolled at a Tennessee college or
university as part of our STEM support initiatives. This
year we have one scholarship for $4,000 and two for $3,500
each. Below is a description of our scholarships and a
link to the application form. The
deadline for receiving
applications is February 3, 2012. The scholarship funds
will be distributed for use during the 2012-2013 academic
year.
Qualifications:
The scholarships are open
to any rising Junior or Senior in an accredited engineering
school in the state of Tennessee. The award is to be
used for tuition, books, room and board, or any other
charges related to registration for the fall or spring
semester in the year it is awarded. The recipient
shall certify that this scholarship plus the sum of all
other scholarships, grants, or gifts does not exceed the
cost of the items listed above. This scholarship will
be reduced appropriately if the sum of all other
scholarships, grants, or gifts exceeds the cost of the items
listed above.
In the spring,
notification of the scholarship is mailed to schools in
Tennessee that have engineering programs. The Scholarship
Committee that meets in early March to review applications.
We make our selection and notify the recipient by the end of
March. We then notify the university the recipient attends.
A check is mailed to the university and is to arrive before
the fall semester begins.
