Tennessee Engineering Foundation Scholarships Awarded
Three students will receive scholarships from the Tennessee
Engineering Foundation (TEF).
Rebecca Escue from Portland, TN,
who is a junior in mechanical engineering at Tennessee
Technological University, Cookeville won the $3,500 Dorothy
and Arthur Crouch Memorial Scholarship. TEF scholarships of
$3,000 each were awarded to
Dustin Morris from Lewisburg, TN,
who is a junior in electrical engineering at Tennessee
Technological University, and to
Nicholas True from Georgetown, TN,
who is a sophomore in mechanical engineering at the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The TEF
was established by a group of engineering organizations to
advance and support the engineering profession in the State
of Tennessee. TEF raises funds for scholarships and other
kindergarten -12th grade science, technology,
engineering and math (STEM) education support activities
such as MATHCOUNTS. The TEF is headquartered at the
Tennessee Engineering Center, 800 Fort Negley Blvd.,
Nashville, TN, 615-242-2486.
The TEF scholarships are open to any
rising junior or senior in an accredited engineering school in the state of
Tennessee. The award may be used for tuition, books, room and board, or
any other charges related to registration for the fall or spring semester in the
year it is awarded. Information
